Rod still Rocks
An avid Rod Stewart fan, my wife and I have seen many of his concerts over the years. As I appreciate his work as well, going into this concert, we were a little worried as we had seen a not so flattering TV appearance a while ago and were wondering if he could still deliver the goods. Unfounded were our concerns, it turned out. Rod put on a great show and delivered the majority of his hits to a delighted crowd. We have never seen him this relaxed in all his concerts we have witnessed, and he seemed to truly enjoy himself, which reflected in his performance. A smart touch was to have his daughter perform a couple of songs halfway through the concert, giving her some exposure as well as taking a breather from the high-energy performance. Excellent were both the back-up vocals and band as expected, and from the opening till the end of the concert, they had the crowd on their feet dancing. An unforgettable experience all in all.
